Tomorrow is DS’s first day of exam. It is his BM paper and this was the subject he scored badly during the first term. I didn’t know what to expect from his paper last term, but this term, the teacher gave out to students on the type of questions that will appear on the paper.

Can someone explain to me why my son always comes home with dirt everywhere? Not to mention his dirty shoes which has becomes a ‘culture’, but his face, shirt, kneecap and even his hands are always black!

Was feeling nervous. Got up slightly before 7am to get ready to go to school.
Year end school holiday just started but I still have to wake up this early for the next two weeks. A torture for me, you know.

It was our kids’ concert and Ian’s graduation last weekend.
Kids were excited about their costume and Iris has been waiting for the make up session by me.
On the actual day, Ian wasn’t smiling a lot and we suspected he was nervous.

I thought I would be able to bring the kids out with my mom or to my brother’s house, but then we were stucked at home for few days due to food poisoning. To cut it short, Ian and I had it and Iris was spared from it because she didn’t finish the overnight soup. [...]

Mummy has expected that you would not get all 100% for your first semester exam, because it was partly my fault that I didn’t teach you about human body parts earlier. You would have gotten 3 x 100% should you have checked your answers again on English and Chinese papers as those were careless mistakes.

Whenever there is an Ejaan (Spelling) for Ia, I would write the word out in different color market pen and stick them up the wall. It worked for him last year but this year’s ejaan got harder and sometimes it comes with two words together such as bakul sampah (dustbin)

Ian has been getting homework everyday. Besides homework from school, he gets homework and has ‘Mandarin spelling’ from Skylace.
It is getting tough this year as he will be prepared for Std 1 next year.
His writing is turning into a 4 year old writing.
