One of the reasons I like US is because of its government. It provides many benefits for the poor and disables. For example, if one can’t do the work that he did previously or due to medical conditions, he is eligible for social security disability insurance. And once he reaches the age of 65, he moves to social security income. With such benefit, he can take care of himself with the income provided if he is unfit to work.  Sometimes, I pity the disabled beggars whenever I go to the night market here. They sing or just lie down on the street to beg. I have seen child beggars in other countries too and it breaks my heart seeing them so young begging. What was the parents thinking? Hopefully their government will provide more jobs for them so they don’t need to beg.

My brother will soon be a first time dad soon. Even though I have bought his baby a gift which I will give i to him on his full moon, I am thinking of getting him some baby clothes. I am traveling soon, so I thought bringing home some baby clothes will be a nice gifts instead of buying for the parents. Since halloween is two months away, perhaps getting his baby infant halloween costumes will be a good idea too. It will be very cute to see his baby wearing it. Perhaps a pumpkin costume for his baby? I too, can’t wait for the baby to arrive! I just love babies!

Their birthdays are 1 month apart from each other and the last time they celebrated their birthdays together was 4 years ago.

I managed to order two 1kg fondant cake for each of them. Lilian was kind enough to make it an exception to make smaller cake for me instead of 2kg each. We all liked the butter chocolate and butter mint cakes, but the icing was just too sweet for everybody.

We invited both side of families and some close friends.

Kids were playing in the car porch. Cycling, ’snakeboarding’ and running and chasing around. While the adults indulged in their food and catching up.

When it was time for cake cutting, kids were getting ready while the mother was preparing to camwhore herself!

There were two pinatas for kids. I did both pinatas, but DD’s pinata didn’t look good because I was so exhausted, tired and with a blank mind, I just finished it without knowing it looked so ugly. SO, my dear friend was kind enough to ‘patch’ things up with DD’s pinata for me. She did a great job! Kudos to her!

There were a small game for kids too. I bought some black balloons which kept bursting every time I tried to blow it bigger. So it was small balloons which some small gifts inside. Kids get to take turns to pop the balloons and the lucky ones get to pop those with gifts inside. Only 1 balloon is empty because I was out of balloons.

I gave them to take it home as a gift instead of party bags since the pinatas and balloons were filled with little gifts already.

I didn’t want to prepare party bags as giveaways for the kids’ birthday party tomorrow. So, I decided to make cake pops. Initially I wanted to make sesame street but I couldn’t find the necessary ingredients for decoration. Thank God I didn’t try the sesame street. It is not as easy as it seems to be.

I started baking in the afternoon as I need to let it completely cool before I make into crumbs.

When the kids are asleep at night, I started my project so they won’t disturb or interrupt me.

I wanted to make a few colorful cake pops, but my gel food coloring didn’t work. It thickens the chocolate bark. Icing food coloring is more suitable instead but Wilton ran out of it.

In the end, I just used the white and dark chocolate bark and they are too sweet for my taste. Hope the kids won’t mind!

I just made do with what I have. I don’t even have Rudolph’s red nose!

Now, I have to start thinking about tomorrow’s big day as mom, maid and my cousin will be helping me with the cooking and there is some balloons to be blown too!

It is hot lately! Although we don’t encounter natural disaster like earth quake or blizzards, but sometimes I wish our weather could be colder like in Genting. If our weather is cooler, that would be nice. An outdoor barbeque and steamboat would be fun. We sure don’t have to sweat while grilling and cooking outdoor. But unfortunately, we don’t have such weather and outdoor fireplaces is definitely not necessary. It is always hot or rainy here. Can we get winter in the future? I doubt so.

II believe many women likes buying lingerie. I buy those beautiful lingerie for myself to see. I try to match my lingerie with the clothes I wear. Not just model like figure will get to look good in lingerie. But it is also the inner self. If you think you look sexy and feel good in your lingerie, you will feel beautiful too. I know some plus size women, who wear sexy lingerie too. There are many plus size lingerie for them too and it sure does look sexy to me! Size does not matter!

While we were having dinner in town last week, a Bangladesh man approached us and tried to sell us some led flashlights. It wasn’t that costly, so I bought one each for our kids. My kids like led flashlights. They light to shine on anything. Since I didn’t bring their portable games along and they were quite active while the adults were trying to have yummy dinner, I told our kids to look for jewelry on the floor. Hence, their adventure started with the newly bought flash lights. I told kids to keep their flash lights safely and not drop onto the floor. Let’ s see how long it can last.

I never liked sports car. Although Ferrari or Porsche look great, I just don’t like the car seats. It is low and it makes me difficult to look at the front due to my height. Besides, Ferrari parts are quite costly too. Our son likes cars a lot. His first word was ‘car’. Every time we see a sports car, we will tell him and he gets really excited. Hubby even took him to he F1 race once. He can even name some of the sports cars he saw. Why do boys and men like cars so much? To me, it is only a mode of transportation.

Our kids’ birthdays are coming soon. There are so much for me to prepare and do. Since the kids will be celebrating their birthdays together this year, although it is only 1 month apart from each other, there are certain things I have to prepare for both of them. Like double pinatas, double presents of course and I have already gotten them  personalized gifts from the internet. I hope they will love this presents and the party I have done for them.

I have just replaced all our humidifier filters. I have four in total. One in each room and the fourth is in the living room. As our house is near the roadside, it can be quite dusty compared to other houses. That’s why I bought so many air purifiers. It is not cheap though, but breathing in cleaner air is better than none. In fact, it can also reduce the bad odor especially from cooking.
